About

In 2049’s sterile, virus-stricken world, Sensora revolutionizes emergency care with MR lenses, haptic controllers, an AI assistant, and remotely controlled robots. These technologies enable medics to provide enhanced sensory care from a distance.

Background

Future Bazaar is a design fiction workshop was developed by Situation Lab and BBC and hosted by  Søren Rosenbak at Umeå Institute of Design. This project uses speculative design and futuring to envision a world in 2049 shaped by emerging trends.

Design Inspired by Biomimicry

Sensora incorporates biomimicry-inspired features to enhance the capabilities of future emergency workers.

Integrating functions such as infrared vision, spatial awareness, and electroreception. Enabling more efficient life-saving interventions in critical scenarios.

How Sensora Works

VR Contact Lenses: Real-time visual overlays enhance perception, allowing medics to see beyond the naked eye.

Haptic Controllers: Tactile feedback simulates the sense of touch, enabling precise physical responses for tasks like CPR and defibrillation.

Learnings

This was my first major project in the MFA Interaction Design program. After presenting my idea to Ale Argenio (former head of Transportation Design), he challenged me to think beyond the ordinary and design for greater impact. His feedback led me to reimagine the project for high-pressure emergency care, instilling in me a lasting commitment to designing with purpose.
